Fraudsters have gotten pretty sophisticated, and it's easier than you might think for them to access your credentials if you do. Save your banking and any correspondence that includes sensitive information until you have a secure internet connection. If your phone auto-connects to the nearest Wi-Fi available, update your settings to ask you first for extra security.
Turn On Location Tracking (Find My Phone)
Most cell phone or data providers offer a free service that allows you to locate your phone using GPS if you can't find it. Install the Latest Upgrades
Most companies are constantly updating and improving security features. Unfortunately, they're only effective if you choose to install them. When a new upgrade is available, download it as soon as possible to take advantage of the extra protection.

Not passwords, passphrases. It might seem obvious, but make sure you're not using pet, spouse, street, or town names in any part of your passphrase, and instead, start to use more secure phrases.
